    I have an entire TBI and ignition system from an 88 Suburban that had auto tranny (7747 ECM). This is installed into my Jeep CJ5 with a Chevy 350 and 4spd manual (1975 motor w/wedge smog heads).Rebuilt the throttle body ( changed out the gaskets and cleaned it) new water pump, distributor, and etc. Anyways we finally got it in time by pointing the distributor towards the back of the manifold.TBI is just not a hot-rod setup and with a very aggressive tune, I still don't think you would make an honest 400HP 350 on TBI. Had to change them all to 350 units. This was about 3 years ago, so I think that is it. Good luck. I worked at a Chevy dealership at the time as a parts counter person. Dec 26, 2007 · The TBI engine has one large injector squiritng down into the intake manifold. TPI = Tuned Port Injection. The intake plenum will say Tuned Port Injection right on it. It was standard, and the only available option on 350's for the Camaro. The 350 could not be had with the TBI. Additionally all 350 equipped IROC-Z's had standard rear disc brakes.
